Generate Stunning Screenshots for CS2 Skins
Our CS2 Screenshot API is designed to provide high-quality and customizable screenshots for your Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) skins, including items carried over from CSGO. Whether you're a collector, a marketplace, or just want to share your inventory with friends, our CS2 Screenshot Tool helps you create professional visuals of your items.
For current parameters, real image examples and integration instructions, see our CS2 Screenshot API documentation.
Key Features of the CS2 Screenshot Tool
- Float Inspect Support: Simply provide the Steam inspect URL of your item to generate detailed screenshots.
- Comprehensive Item Information: Screenshots include the item's Float and Pattern information by default. Use
with_float=falseto hide this information. - Customizable Color Schemes: Use
background_colorwith a#RRGGBBhex value for colors like Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, White, Gray, Purple, Green, or Orange to match your style or branding. - Background and View Options: Show both sides on the default background or a solid color. For a transparent cutout, choose the front or back view; float information is hidden automatically.
- Custom Labels: Use
item_nameandpaint_nameto customize the item and finish labels. Add your own branding with publicbackground_urlandlogo_urlimages, configurable logo position, width and opacity. The legacycolor=blueoption is also accepted for solid backgrounds; an explicit background image takes precedence. - Flexible Output Options: Download the AVIF screenshot, display it inline or receive it as base64 JSON.
Real CS2 Screenshots
The new /steam/api/screenshot endpoint renders real CS2 item images from an inspect link. By default, it shows the front view with float information and a background. Set mode=both to show both sides. Screenshots are included at no extra cost in every package, including Free and Free+, subject to its screenshot limits or Global limits. If rendering is still in progress, the API returns a job ID so you can retrieve the result once it is ready.
Requests to the old /steam/api/float/screenshot URL now use the same Screenshot API automatically. Both URLs return AVIF and use the separate screenshot request quota; the previous PNG renderer has been removed. Use /steam/api/screenshot for new integrations.
